This September, PMI-supported charity, First Downs for Down’s Syndrome held their annual Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk and Festival. PMI was proud to contribute to this successful fundraiser for an organization that helps children with Downs syndrome and their families get the medical and educational support they need. This year’s walk raised over $400,000 dollars. The event was held at Arrowhead Stadium and along with the fundraiser, the event featured picnics, face painting, pony rides, stilt walkers, and more. It was a perfect day for the kids and their families. We received a note from the executive director of the foundation that described the event:
“The walk day was absolutely perfect…gorgeous, weather Arrowhead Stadium in the background, and a fun filled day with all of our families and friends, supporting individuals with Down syndrome!
…As you know, the Step Up Walk is our largest fundraiser and an event that people throughout the Kansas City area look forward to every year. You have made a significant difference in the life of an individual with Down syndrome by offering your support to this special event and we truly appreciate it!”
We are happy to contribute to an organization that puts kids and families first and that always sets such a great example of charity in the community. If you want to learn more about First Downs for Downs Syndrome, visit their website here.
